You will develop analytical skills by learning to identify legal issues, apply legal principles to facts, and evaluate legal arguments. You will also learn to compare and contrast different legal approaches and analyze legal reasoning to come to a logical conclusion.
You will develop research skills by learning to locate and analyze legal sources, such as statutes, case law, and legal commentary. You will also learn how to conduct legal research using the research bundle, databases and other resources. These skills will enable you to find relevant legal information quickly and accurately, and to use this information to make informed legal decisions.
You will develop communication skills by learning to articulate legal arguments and express your ideas clearly and effectively in both oral and written formats. You will also learn how to collaborate and work effectively in groups, which is an important skill for legal professionals. These skills will enable you to communicate your ideas and arguments effectively and to work collaboratively with others to solve legal problems.
A 4-week roadmap to define each stage of a virtual work-experience program.
Get introduced to the program, your mentors and Dentons. You will learn how a law firm operates and begin preliminary research on the program project.
You will obtain all the required skills to complete the project. Through a series of skills lectures you will get a fully immersive learning experience and all the adequate skills.
You are now equipped with the adequate skillset to complete the program. Applying your knowledge onto the project and working as a team is the focus.
In your final week you will submit your project for mentor feedback. In the final night you will pitch your project and findings to Dentons representatives and upon completion, receive a referral letter.
